DAF Webshop: Gateway to a world of innovation

The DAF Webshop already offers you 24/7 access to 180,000 parts from DAF and other leading brands. Behind the scenes, a team of more than 20 specialists are busy working on a whole range of improvements. Innovations coming up include: a new look and feel, a faster and easier way to navigate and
much more.

Louis Torres, a mechanic at Transports Ducamin, uses the DAF Webshop frequently. “I mainly search using the truck’s chassis number, which allows me to find the exact parts without making a mistake. That way, I’m much more confident when placing an order”, says Louis. He finds the DAF Webshop easy to use — thanks to good training from his local
dealer.

A family-owned company, now part of FETR France Europe Transports Rapides based in Montbartier, Transports Ducamin specialises in refrigerated transport, delivering fresh products and wine throughout France and Switzerland. The company has 60 trucks—mostly DAF—and 70 trailers.

“I generally search for and order parts to maintain the vehicles or when a vehicle has been in an accident”, Louis explains. “The hardest orders are for accident-damaged trucks, because the list can be very long and you have to navigate through the parts categories to find everything. Usually I manage without any problem, and if I do encounter any difficulties, I can count on help from my dealer”. The DAF vehicle search experience will be enhanced with easier navigation, special price details and the introduction of service
kit information.

The Shopping Basket in the DAF Webshop has a new look and feel. Mobile friendly, it takes users through the ordering process step by step.

“It’s nice to have a different page for each step of the order. It’s clearer and I can focus on each stage”, Louis comments. Next: placing his first orders by mobile!
